The acceptance of digital solutions has recently increased rapidly across many industries. Last but not least, this also applies to the healthcare sector. An accelerator: the current pandemic and the digitalization push it has driven. In particular with regard to the use of telemedicine solutions, the current developments offer an opportunity to further promote the newly learned acceptance and to establish telemedicine as an integral part of health care.
The video consultation is not only a useful addition to the previous doctor-patient contact. At the same time, quality and service in patient care can be significantly increased. The pandemic has clearly shown that there is a need to integrate digital tools and telemedical solutions in order to prepare for current and future challenges in the healthcare sector.
